Elf has grown on me a bit mainly due to Zoey Dechanel

FFS why do people still put Die Hard down as a Christmas film. on this basis The Great Escape is a Thanksgiving Day film.

And to go with this silliness I'm going to vote for Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence, which unlike Die Hard at least has Christmas in the title.

Never tire of Planes, Trains and Automobiles, so many laughs, especially the motel scenes.

Last year I got my teen daughter into White Christmas and Holiday Inn.

Die Hard is a great film, always will be but because that had a xmas party does not make it a xmas film

I was a bit late to the party as far as A wonderful Life is concerned. I'm in my 60s and only probably saw it for the first time about 10 years ago but if it's on I'll watch (or record it). Nativity with Martin Freeman is good and The Flint Street Nativity.

I always like to see White Christmas and Oliver the musical at Christmas. My favourite two.

One of our family traditions when we were still together was to watch Polar Express on Christmas Eve so I struggle with that one.

Favourite Christmas escape film- Christmas Town …. Absolutely delightful nonsense!

Obviously Home Alone 1 and 2 come a close joint second after Love Actually, and then National Lampoon's xmas vacation.

Polar Express, Muppet Christmas Carol, Love Actually and Scrooged will all get a watch and obviously Die Hard gets watched as I wrap the wife's presents while smashing a tub of Quality Street. Might introduce the kids to Home Alone as well.

One Alone 1
Home Alone 2
Polar Express
Santa Clause The Movie

Favourites being Home Alone 1 and Polar Express.

Can't stand Will Ferrell so never watched Elf.

I saw an advert for Violent Night a few weeks ago so it's on my "if there's absolutely nothing else I fancy on TV I shall give it a watch" at some point in the next few weeks but there's a lot of footie coming up to watch too.....
