Lamptey really needs to play as a wing back in a back 5 , so quite ironic that he was substituted to make a back 3 of CBs. Played ok last night , no worse than a few of others.

What you need to do is start a thread titled Lamptey so we can discuss Veltman and his injury
Joel was in the training pics earlier in the week so it’s a bit odd……
not having that.
First goal came from Igor getting dragged miles out of position then missing a tackle on Dibling, by the centre circle. Once realising he wasn’t going to make the tackle, he should have just taken the yellow for the team. He didn’t. Dibling strolled past him, picked a pass, and they were in.

All this talk of Lamptey, let's not forget he's played just 82 minutes of Premier League football this season, and made 2 assists.
He may not be Cafu, but he's a more than adequate stand in for Joel Veltman.

The basement club enjoyed attacking Lamptey.
It'll be interesting to see if the club offer a new contract. Perhaps one just to preserve transfer value?
Maybe they'll offer him half a contract, just covering the time spent attacking.
