Someone else mentioned splitting the g to me..didn’t ask any further as sounded a bit smutty. What the hell does it mean?!Unfortunately it's the price we pay for loving an aesthetically pleasing drink.
Guinness is absolutely all over social media especially since the whole "splitting the g" nonsense took off
Haven't seen a definitive explanation but it's drinking your first sip (gulp) down to either in between the harp and the text or to the middle of the "G"Someone else mentioned splitting the g to me..didn’t ask any further as sounded a bit smutty. What the hell does it mean?!
Kinnell..times like these I’m very glad to be quite old.Haven't seen a definitive explanation but it's drinking your first sip (gulp) down to either in between the harp and the text or to the middle of the "G"
Rather than say, just f***ing drinking your drink like a normal person
Out of a can I prefer Black Heart. We know what Brewdog are going for but how do they compare. Same widget , same pour but I like the subtle chocolate and caramel in the new one.
A modern stout they say.
I’m trying to unwind. What a night
I saw it on this YouTube video about Blackpool months back, skip to 11.35 as it’s not that interesting. Other than the video I hadn’t heard it mentioned until today on this thread.Someone else mentioned splitting the g to me..didn’t ask any further as sounded a bit smutty. What the hell does it mean?!

Hope you make it over..I go most years to SW Eire. My experience is a great country, in the main great people, stunning scenery and some of the best pubs anywhere.Out of a can I prefer Black Heart.
I understand there are those who don't like Brewdog, for some of their business decisions and senior staff, but this is a decent drink and far better than the many dodgy pints of draught Guinness I have been poured over the years!
If I can afford the cost of the ferry crossing, I'm still hoping to get over to Ireland next year, to sample Guinness in its natural environment, so to speak...
Really want to make it. We went to Scotland last year and trekked up Beinn Nibheis, this year it was Wales and Yr Wyddfa, so Ireland just seems like a natural progression... just need to find out what the local mountain name is first!Hope you make it over..I go most years to SW Eire. Nice..the Beara Peninsula is staggeringly stunningly rugged and has some fantastic walking. There are big hills everywhere!Really want to make it.
