Fiveways, Brighton
My 2 lone choices so far seem to be Glenn and Nobby. Think Murray was a really intelligent striker who would thrive in this team in his prime. Think Horton would probably have been a slightly different footballer in this modern age but he was such an intelligent player and such a great leader he would have adapted.

Caicedo, MacAllister, Gross, + Zamora

There may come a point this season when that classic midfield has been replaced but we are not there yet

"at their best" or "at their best for Brighton?"

If it's the former then Vicente is missing from your list ! (And probably a few others)

I think for each player you out in, you have to think who would you drop from what is, in your opinion, the best 11.

With someone like Zamora, I absolutely loved him, but I don’t think that I’d be dropping Pedro or Welbeck for Fulham-era Zamora. Same with Murray.

Lawrenson would get in over Dunk or Igor.

Caicedo and Mac would displace Baleba and Ayari/ORiley respectively.

BST Trossard would be the best right flank option, but not GMT Trossard.

White would get in if we played a back 3. He fit that system like a glove for us.

Question for the older fans- how good was Ward once we got promoted to the top flight ?

He never really did it consistently in the top flight and at times was in and out of the team (remembering only one sub).

Of course the Boxing Day massacre of Palace was brilliant….

Zamora never really produced in the top league either IMO, it doesn’t make either of them any less of a legend, but their record for us was not as good as……..
