We had them developed pre-covid, also there's a converter for bottle use. We use it to put a head on Asahi SD
I wouldn't relate Asahi with a particularly special pour so it seems interesting they would develop a device to perfect it. Must've cost millions. But then again, the UK can't be a huge market for it in the first place.

It has two part pour tap for Draught. It has a high co2 content which the dense head locks in. All clever stuff

Any thoughts on the Nitro surge cans ?

I bought one with 4 cans yesterday- for me it was a nightmare, probably wasted those 4 cans trying to perfect the pour. So bought 4 more, finally cracked it after can 6 although not convinced I could do better

Bought 8 more for tonight, experimented with the first 3.

My recommendations -
Keep can upright in fridge.
Don’t pour a can straight from the fridge, give it 30 mins at room temperature
Keep can horizontal when pouring, just tilt the glass
Press button on nitro surger and pour straight away until pour stops - this is normally above the harp
Wait 90 seconds then fill rest of glass
Wash glass for every pour

I think Black Heart beats Guinness, it's fantastic. And the Jet Black Heart they have done in the past is also excellent. For me the best version is the draft Black Heart in their pubs.

[awaits someone coming on this thread to derail it with their fervent hatred of Brewdog]

That said, I think there are some amazing stouts from smaller brewers, Unbarred and Cloak and Dagger both make some beauties.
I'm not keen on brewdog but black heart is a lovely drop

Black Heart (as long as it's on offer in Tesco's). Nice with cider too, in a Black Velvet - which can be with either cider or champagne - never tried it with the latter. Never liked Guinness anyway.

I love Guinness and Murphy's- do find it hard to get into other Stouts really and find a lot of them either too sweet or too strong (or both)

I do enjoy Camden Stout though- they've got it at Worthing FC

Titanic used to make a vanilla stout that was, and I'm not exaggerating this, the best thing mankind has ever created. I drank enough to earn the sobriquet "Stout Man" at my local pub.

Sadly this was about 7years ago and they don't make it anymore, so this information is entirely worthless.

Bloody love Murphy’s but unless I’ve missed it the only place in B n H with it draft is The Mesmerist?

I thought the cider version is called a Poor Man's Black Velvet?

Just saying.

Certainly rare to find it on tap

New Amsterdam in Worthing and Brewers Arms in Lewes are two other places that do it
