Did anyone see a bloke in a beanie in east upper ec3 calling our fans c***ts when they stood up to cheer us on. My son said it was in extra time and the bloke was around row N - half a dozen seats in on the halfway line side by the central stairs. I wasn’t sitting with him and his pal so can’t be sure of the details apart from the beanie but my lad and his mate are reliable sorts and reckon quite a few people heard him. He didn’t report it to a steward but told me afterwards on way home. He has been a season ticket holder since he was 9 and never had any bother so was a bit bemused by the beanie wearing idiot. If you sit near beanie man is he a repeat offender who needs his mouth washed out? The youngsters also reckon he was way too old to wear a beanie so he could be any age over 40 I guess. Apologies for the lack of pics.

Sorry to hear about the above, maybe another away fan in the home end if he was abusing Albion fans.
Not taking the piss out of your thread but you ask the youngsters what sort of hats are ok for people over 40 to wear? Is a beanie just a woolly hat without a bobble?

Return of The Withdean Screamer?
It was like that a bit. They weren’t saints they were oddballs and maybe YouTubers or just that generation of wankiness who thought screaming when they scored was acceptable… and screaming constantly thinking it was funny. They got shown the way out by many - fair play to the stewards. A lady said they were being morons at half time in the concourse too and had been drinking all day. Got what they deserved.

There’s an age-limit in wearing a beanie?

No worries. I think they were just trying to make light of an uncomfortable situation involving an older adult acting like an idiot.

If he’s not getting behind the team at crucial moments then moaning about those that do he’s a complete tool.

5 were thrown out in the end, definitely a few of them were weird.
How do 5 away fans get tickets sitting together in the WSU though?
There were some exuberant youth, slightly too old to not know better, silly-singing in the food queue in WSU, at half time.

Silly-singing is fine, but they seemed a bit rum to me.

I was half expecting one of them to tell their mate "you have a woman's hand. I'll wager it hasn't hoist a main sail in a force nine gale"
