Why didn’t he jump? Weird one. Also his body language was telling, practically the second he headed it he was turning and running back. He lacked confidence to attack it properly.

He looked totally out of place when he came on, is that the first time in his Brighton career that he has come on as a sub ??? harsh on
Igor but Dunk probably starts against Fulham

I don't know. Igor has been great - I've been really surprised by his forward looking passes and small runs. No long balls out to Mitoma though. But when he plays alongside Dunk, all he seems to do is sideways and backwards passing. I think he's done great and might keep his place.

Doubt he'll drop van Hecke though.

Suppose he could try a three at the back thing

Before today, Dunk had come on as a sub eleven times in his Albion first team career.

His first appearance as a sub? Against ...... Southampton, 14 years and 6 days ago (in a match that ended in a draw, and in which Adam Lallana started for Saints).

Think Dunk is back for next game. Their goal today happens when Igor leaves the back line to try to win the ball in midfield, leaving a massive gap that they expose and eventually score from. Its MLS level defending.

Unless Lampty was injured could see no point in Dunk replacing him. We then had a CH half playing RB which then without Lampty reduced our attacking threat on the right. The reason we were crap in 2nd half was because we so often lost ball on half way line and they were away. Both O Riley and Ayari lke to get forward and no one playing DM role

Stiffened up the defence no end when he came on, definitely starts on Thursday
Missed him leadership yesterday, before he came on and started directing the back four. Surely back to the starting 11 v Fulham.
We also missed Baleba big time yesterday. Ayari and O’Riley are both number 8s naturally and it showed yesterday.

I’m surprised FH hasn’t tried dropping Weiffer into a CB cover to see what he can do - Weiffer‘s played both a solo 6 dropping back into a back 3 out of possession (as FH used at SP) and double CM pivot so it might be interesting to try him out so we have some extra cover there. That said, he’s yet to wow me in any position so far.

He mistimed that header which was actually a very good chance. However, he certainly helped us look more solid when he came on.
Yes. Dunk stemmed the flow, calmed everyone down and organised us, everything that has largely been lacking in some of our other games

Maybe repeatedly losing the ball 30 meters up the pitch is more than enough excitement for Hurz and he doesn't want it in our penalty box.
Mats needs to get Eredivisie out of his system before we dare giving him much more game time than he currently does. Currently looks like a peasant getting a claustrophobia-induced panic attack on his first visit to New York City.

In the PL that is the first time he’s made a sub appearance.

He has also made 4 in the Championship, 3 in League One, 3 in the FA Cup and 1 in the League Cup

Last year against Sheffield United - came on and the defence was suddenly calm and assured. we mustn’t underestimate his leadershi. We also missed Veltman for the same reasons last night
