It really does!

Those attending tonight’s match might get a foul whiff of rotten fish, excrement and bin juice. It’s covering the whole area.

BEWARE

I’m guessing it could be the recently dug out reservoir next to The Keep but could be something else….

It's coming from the fields above. There are two big rectangular mounds covered in black plastic and they smell rank. There was a Southern Water lorry in one of the fields yesterday so I suspect it's treated sewage.

Been like it for the past few days, when I first encountered it I thought I'd burnt out the clutch on the car only to remember I drive an auto these days.

Thank god for air recirculation in cars.

I went for a run round Stanmer early. It smells like 1944 stalingrad. Like a thousand animals have died. Presume its manure from the farmland around but its Nasty
