Oh my, another European 6-pointer at the fortress that is Selhurst Park on Saturday. That's the last place Newcastle need to go to after being stuffed at home by the Hammers. Isak to draw another blank against Palace's word class centre halves. This is going to be a bloodbath.

Decent bunch of fixtures this weekend. Sunday looks especially tasty. Especially as it might be the only time I can sit and enjoy Dycheball in the hope it beats United at OT. The meltdown on the new manager would be fantastic to see

Put three points away on Friday night and then enjoy the whole weekend. Isn't it 😲

I'm going to have a few before I get to there to relax the nerves, I think it's probably for the best
Yep, Friday is all that matters. Get 3 points by any means and the weekend will be great. I'll take a 1 nil deflected own goal but would be lovely to win handsomely though.

An early Stains red card, 3-0 by HT and 6-0 final score.

I've an appoinment Saturday at 3pm and hoped I wouldn't miss any big games.
Newcastle at Palace, I'm home by 4pm to see the 4th away goal go in.
Also, it must be winter. KO's have come forward 30 minutes.

Sussex but not by the sea
It's all about us winning.
Then however......................we need Palace to get something v Newcastle (I feel dirty), Villa to get a point at Chelsea and Fulham to get something at Spurs.
That would then be a golden weekend.
Everton to beat Utd just for fun.
Liverpool to beat City.
West Ham to get a point at home to Arsenal.
We finish the weekend in 2nd.............

The above is not complete fantasy either (apart from us winning probably!!)

Can't see Villa getting anything at Chelsea. They're hopeless right now, although they did manage to claw back a draw against Champions League contenders Crystal Palace last weekend, so hopefully that will give them great confidence.

Liverpool away is just the sort of game City might get something out of after their recent run. wouldn't mind if they did, to keep the red nauses honest.

Liverpool v Man City being billed as first v second..........which it won't be!
It is absolutely MENTAL that we really do have an active interest in this game.

I think I actually want a City win. I don't think we can finish above them realistically, but if they are relegated or have a massive points deduction, we could feasibly be in touch with the league leaders by the end of the weekend and with City potentially out of the way by the end.of the season!

As I say, it's mental. Mental

Every time I see the Nigels mentioned, my mind goes back to the BBC Premier League preview article that went out just before the season started.

One of the thousands of comments said "Palace will finish above Brighton. Trust me".

A shrewd observation. The Palace European charge is just around the corner as we all know.

Fulham's Joachim Andersen "out for some games" which would presumably include ours next week - good news though Palhinha being out this past March did f*** all for us!

Maresca on the title race:

"[Man] City lost three games in a row but they are still second. Arsenal are there [in fourth, level on 22 points], Liverpool are doing fantastic too. For me, it's not about the points and table that they are ahead of us, it's the process.

"Arsenal is five years together, Man City more than eight years together, Liverpool is a bit different but they didn't make many changes from the past. This is the reason. It's not about points or difference in the table, it's just the time together."

Me one moment: Of course we're not in the title race, what are you on about ???

Me the next: Aren't you forgetting someone, Maresca
