Just watched the end of the Villa game. Goal chalked off for at best a 50/50 decision. Would be seriously pissed off if that was us.

That said, We've had little to no VAR this season in the Premier League. It's been a marked improvement on last year so far with the semi automatic lino to come. Can't remember a thread on here either.

Have they got it right in the premier league? Should we give a bit of credit where it's due?*

*The 2nd yellow for Baleba excepted but that's an on field ref balls up not a VAR one.

Technically (decision making). Got to say much improved, the media and us don’t spend Mondays analysing a catalogue of huge and costly gaffs at the weekend. Must be down to Howard Webb’s leadership. But still errors, perhaps to do with the dumb ethos that refs can’t overruled unless clear and obvious, when they were plainly wrong.

Shame about the delays to truly celebrate a goal though.

The Norgaard red card exemplifies why VAR should not get involved in judgemental decisions and why refs should stick to their guns.

Ref does not give a red. VAR sends him to the monitor and he inevitably gives a red. Which is then overturned on appeal........

The media has been advised to take it lighter on criticism of VAR and refs. Hence why we are not hearing of the normal shite decisions. VAR is still shite and are the ref's any better?

You've done it now haven't you. Tomorrow night there'll be a Var decision against us that will have us all moaning and groaning🤭🤭

I thought they were going to put the reasons for the decisions on the big screens. Did at Everton for first game then nothing.

The refs haven't suddenly got better but the games are definitely flowing better. The diving to the floor - from all teams including us - isn't being rewarded as much. If in doubt play on. That's made games much more watchable.

I guarantee that Talksport will have numerous segments today about the Villa disallowed goal. The fact they haven't had many "Text in now if you are in a RAGE about VAR" is because there hasn't been that many. West Ham v Man Utd being the obvious exception.

Last season there was something every week.
