It's almost like it's a universal public house for all next to a busy train station with sport on TV. . . Incredibles.
The bridge was ‘closed’ on Sunday - but the barriers blew over due to strong winds (cough) … and people were using it all day. A ramp has now been placed over the gap that appeared as a temporary measure … and is now officially open. It’s also one of the very few pubs in Shoreham that actually shows football.
The Royal George does, but it’s miles away. The Waterside does but I’m unsure if the footbridge has re-opened. After that… there’s a small TV upstairs in the Crown that you wouldn’t really want to watch sport on but I’m struggling to think of anything else.
In the interest of fairness, I went there for the Roma away game and it was heaving. There was barely room to stand up and watch the game in there.
It’s just a popular pub that shows football.
