I'd love to know what the Leicester board were expecting when appointing him. Ugly, defensive football was very much his brand at Forest, why appoint him in the first place if you're not just wanting him to keep you up at all costs? It's not as if they have a particularly competitive squad either, I think any manager would struggle to keep them up.

Will be an interesting one on the 8th if Potter gets it. I'm not convinced he's going to uproot his family for this role though and he probably is waiting on West Ham, which will surely be available in the coming weeks, if not this week.

Has it been mentioned, Cooper has only ever won an EPL game at four stadiums
Forest
Leicester
Chelsea
Southampton.
Or put another way, only won twice on the road.

I mentioned this on a previous post (post #98).

He actually won three away games as he won at Southampton with both Leicester and Forest. In fact he’s won more games at St Mary’s than he’s won at the King Power Stadium.

I checked up until page 4. Just short of yours.
That second fact though, maybe Southampton should sign him up.

Robins isn’t a bad shout, ex Leicester player, arguably ‘wronged’ at Coventry and clearly one of the ‘rocking horse shit brigade’ in that he’s a talented English manager.

@Hugo Rune’s conspiracy theory also looks to have some credibility as pleasant as Hove is, a return to the Midlands could see GP ‘going home’ to live in one of the more salubrious parts of Brum ( If there is such a thing)
GP could live down Market Harborough way and send children to school round there where Micky Adams now works

I'm pretty sure that I've now read that fact about how many away matches Cooper's won in the Premier League, on this thread, more times than Cooper has won away in the Premier League.

You do wonder what might have been if Tony Bloom, already in the background, had financed Adams Mk 2 properly rather than viewing as part of Dick Knight’s exit?
It wouldn’t have ended any better. What has he done since? Dinosaur in modern football, even back then. TB would possibly have financed him if he thought otherwise imo. Adams had a core of players he’d managed before first time around and lucked out with BZ.

Never warmed to him in truth, got the impression that he always thought he deserved better than us.

I can’t of two more opposing personalities than Adams and GPott. Give me Micky every time.
It's only because I hate it that I haven't posted that Toni Basil track.

Very unfair on Micky. He’s a good man and genuinely cared about Brighton, he loved his time here. He did a brilliant job too in his first spell and was a good manager at that time.
