The Fatherland
Surprised at some of the lowish ratings for Verbruggen. Thought he was immense. Saved several shots/headers/one on ones and as per the old adage, each of those are as good as a goal the other end.
Agree, has been for a while, and he sees a lot of the ball with the way we play. To think RDZ couldn’t decide between him and Steele.

Verbruggen 8
Veltman 9
Igor 9
Van Hecke 9
Estupinan 8
Baleba 6
Ayari 5
Mitoma 7
Georginho 7
Pedro 9
Welbeck 5

Weiffer 7
O'Reilly 6
Ferguson 6
Adingra 6

Think Ayrai is too low , covered a lot of ground. Thought Baleba was not up to his full capability and that put more pressure on him.

Veltman had a good game but is weaker when we were trying to get it forward so maybe an 8 and thought Igor maybe an 8 as some of his passes first half were dangerous.

We rode our luck , come away with 3 points when Bournemouth could have got a drawer out it or more.

Fiveways
Bart 8.5 -- some cracking saves there, good distribution too
Veltman 9 JMotM -- hilarious as ever, but showed how well he understands the game, and what a great defender he is
JPvH 9 JMotM -- an utter rock, there can't be m/any CBs in the PL at the moment
Igor 8 -- continues the rich vein of form
Estupinan 7.5 -- great dynamo and strength, excellent defensively especially with ten men when they targeted our left side, passing a bit off it going forward
Baleba 6 -- poor by his standards, but showed that someone else on the pitch is consistently poor
Ayari 6 -- conditions didn't really help
Rutter 7 -- great work rate, as with most of our attackers, gave the ball away too much
Joao Pedro 7.5 -- lovely assist, but there was a fair bit that didn't come off today
Mitoma 6 -- lovely run and finish, good defensive cover, but thought he was pretty anonymous, although his game was hardly enhanced by the conditions
Welbeck 6.5 -- great leadership and work rate, as with our other forward players, much didn't pay off

Subs:
Weiffer 8 -- excellent contribution
Adingra 6 -- did some good stuff alongside some poor decisions
O'Riley 6
Ferguson n/a

Beyond two great moves, we weren't really up to much, but it's a great sign that we can grind out a win when not on form, especially against a team in form and a difficult place to go.

For a player that was always considered injury prone I would think very few times in his career he has started 12 consecutive games
