in with a minor provisoWow no Joe Elliott, no Bruce Dickinson?!!!!?
Given the original poll started with Paul Weller in (who I love but also isn’t your classic rock n’ roller) I thought Bowie was a fair suggestion given his incredible and legendary career that yes, isn’t rock n’ roll like Robert Plant or Ozzy Ozbourne but still more rock n’ roll than Neil TennantI will add Mr Bowie but RnR f*** off!
Maiden fanatic here but Bruce fails a bit on the debauchery front. His best stuff was at school having 2 tons of manure delivered to his house masters door and urinating in the pot of peas.Wow no Joe Elliott, no Bruce Dickinson?!!!!?
I won't be listing Neil Tennant I'm afraidGiven the original poll started with Paul Weller in (who I love but also isn’t your classic rock n’ roller) I thought Bowie was a fair suggestion given his incredible and legendary career that yes, isn’t rock n’ roll like Robert Plant or Ozzy Ozbourne but still more rock n’ roll than Neil Tennant
Indeed. Saw Bruce back in May on his solo tour and his voice was I think better than on the current Maiden tour. And my god his female bassist Tanya O' Callaghan was great. Not only fit but just a little fierce and totally in the pocket with per playing.I went confidently to the poll to note my choice but when I saw the list and was reminded of the great British depth of talent , I wavered. How do you compare Freddy Mercury with Bruce Dickinson or Robert Plant in his Led Zep days ?
So different but all brilliant….
I love ‘em all.
Yes indeed, I've been to the house he was born in. It's now a museum to him.Mercury was born in Zanzibar.........
He's in because I went there on holiday. Ian Gillan is also in although I've never heard of himYes indeed, I've been to the house he was born in. It's now a museum to him.
Nevertheless, if he became a British citizen then he definitely qualifies as British.
There is some doubt that Mr Mercury might be disqualified for being born overseas. I like his tache so I think he'll be inFitting that Freddie is leading this poll today on the anniversary of his death.
I've never heard him sing. so he's outKeith Moon
who dat?No Rob Halford? Oh dear
Lines have to be drawn, but he's inWell if we are having people born outside the Uk then why no option to vote for the British Elvis Presley ?? - Cliff Richard
