Wharton might be considered better value for Palace than Caicedo was for Chelsea, but he's certainly not a better player yet.
You’re right, I think we had Chelsea’s pants down on that fee. My screen shot was more about them thinking he’s a better player, with the added delusional garnish of stating Doucore is as good as Caicedo.

Makes you wonder how the duck they’ve never got more than 49 points with all of these world-class 100m+ players in their squad.

Noticed this bit of delusion with my morning shadenfreude. To summarise, Wharton is better than Caicedo and they’re going to get more than the £115M we got for him.

Gold medal standard straw clutching. Understandable, given their current predicament. I’d be looking for silver linings too.

See, I don’t share this “I hope Palace stay up” “football needs rivalries” etc etc.
They’re a twice a year irritant, if they got relegated to the Beazer feckin Homes League I’d piss myself laughing.
Me too. Whether it's their always ultras, or those among us who lose their minds if the score (remember Murray playing for them?), these are not an enjoyable club to play.

It is the overwrought carry-on from some of our support that I find the least tolerable. The howls of anguish.

But what do I know, just a JCL.

It appears to be November 24th and, checks notes, it appears Palace have won one league game.
Strong chance of losing Whamageddon before Palace win their second game of the season at this rate

I apologise for posting this, but, if I had to suffer it, so should all of you.

I even think I prefer “Woah, Woah,Woah” by the black clad virgins.

Ooh, can I post this again?

Maybe, just maybe, Adam Wharton is the ring fenced funding source for their new fantasy stand….🤷🏻‍♂️

The maths work perfectly with this multiple Ballon d’Or winner.

£200m fee less the 12.5% sell-on cut to Blackburn = £175m.

Really didn't get enough attention when it was, erm, released.

I don't understand where their expectations come from, or their belief that they should be looking down on 'the likes' of us, Brentford etc.

Their ground is ancient without investment in 25 years. How the Arthur Wait hasn't been condemed yet is a mystery. They still have portacabins on site. It's a shithole. Nothing wrong with that if you hadn't earnt over £1bn in the last decade.
They've got no history, unless you count 2010? Imagine a "Stand or Fall" film about Palace would be titled "More of the same".
They've been in the EPL for 10 years, in that time they have continued to give the vast majority of income to (average) players, agents and board members. They pay wages which don't match where they are and this is seen as 'ambition', it's not it's short sighted folly.

Virtually nothing invested back into the club; and this is the result. If you don't build you don't grow.
