6 winnable games in a row. Completely possible we get 18 points and end the year top. I'm not even taking the piss

I'm not sure you're entirely familiar with our record against teams towards the bottom half of the table.

Highly unlikely but yes, not impossible to win them all. It's certainly interesting isn't it. With City imploding presently only Liverpool are consistent.
Rather annoyingly, so are the London Cowboys.

Alright. We aren't catching the scousers, who I think will will at a canter.

I think Chelsea will come 2nd and Arse will get enough to come 3rd.

I believe City will be found guilty and punished heavily

That means 4th is there to play for. Spurs will come strong, Utd will put results together. Toon and Vanilla are dangerous lurkers.

But we are in the hunt for this position. Here is my logic.

12 games is enough to project forward with a measure of confidence.
We've played almost all of the top half
We've got the points we've got, despite having lost the most playing days to injuries
There's an argument, we could have got more points, but equally an argument we could have fewer. Maybe on balance, we have left 2 or 3 points out there
It was quite foreseeable that we'd start slow whilst Fab found his feet. We haven't

4th place is doable. But only if we can bolster our achilles heel. Our woeful record, especially at home against, promoted / bottom 3 sides.

Important to stay humble.

But I do predict that we won't be going down this year.

Qualifying for Europe will be tough. I expect a resurgent Manchester United. Aston Villa and Newcastle United will have good runs.

Just enjoying the ride.

There’s always one at the Xmas do, and the OP has gone way too early!
