[Albion] If Ferguson is now worth £51m, maybe Hürzeler might consider letting him play?

Ok there was an extra pass in there to Welbeck before Pedro’s assist - I should have watched it again before commenting but the point is, it was Baleba’s direct pass from the oppo’s MF that serviced the ball to the strikers - imo it was the sort of play forward we saw a lot of from Mackie A. and that Ferguson can get on the end of without having to drop too deep out of his comfort zone or have to chase hoof balls from our own half.

No problem, my point was that it was Welbeck‘s direction that he wanted the pass made , his first time pass to Pedro and run into the penalty area that created the space for the pass to O’Riley. That takes a lot of practice and a good rapport. The same connection that Rutter and Welbeck have established. Those connections need time on the training ground and match time too of course. I trust Fab to work on all aspects of Ferguson’s game to improve these aspects and hopefully he’ll get some starts if he shows up in training. From the feedback from Steele and others, training is very intense now and intended to persuade Fab who should start.

So is this a load of rubbish or what?

It's the most tabloid website I've ever seen so presumably 100% invented right?

“Ferguson is enjoying life on the south coast where he is settled and happily improving under the mentorship of Danny Welbeck and Ex West Ham striker Bobby Zamora. Ferguson is looking forward to adding to his goal contribution over a busy Christmas period where he is expected to be utilised “

I really hope this isn't the beginning of a 'Toys out of the Pram' episode - or for that matter an agent lead campaign.

I've said earlier on this thread that I don't think the idea of a half season in the Championship is a bad one; if the club decide to go down that route I hope there won't be ructions because he (or his agent) want to insist on the PL (that's only based what the article seems to suggest - but as others have said, it's probably bobbins).

Of course it isn't. Barry Ferguson knows what's good for his son. Ferguson's potential (post a big injury) is huge and the Albion is the place for him

Its the details that give this stuff away. He's not happy with his game time at Brighton and wants to go to another EPL team it reports. Okay, so if Tony's going to want a conservative £50m+ for Evan, which clubs will be spending that for an U21 player in a January transfer window? Only one team has ever done it before. Yes, of course it was Chelsea: Pulisic in 18/19.

I don’t disagree with any of that but I was talking about the MF last season and why Ferguson’s goal scoring dropped off in the original post you quoted - I think we have gone a long way to improve that weakness this season with Rutter and Beleba making a big impact in servicing the ball…it’s only been a few games since he’s been fit enough to play so let’s see what happens until end December but I have a feeling Ferguson is slowly getting back on track.

As for him wanting to leave Brighton, that sounds like 2+2=5 - even if there is a vestige of truth in it, he’d be advised not to I imagine - FH has already seen what he is capable of with the right players around him from old season tapes - it’s just going to take some patience and practice..

I can see a half season move to Leeds being a good one for him. Dominant team in that league creating lots of chances means he should score a hatful. Plus I expect a very attractive loan fee for us.
They have form for getting very upset when we have the temerity to ask for our loan players back.

And that is funny as f*** so it's a yes from me.

If he was up for it I’d be starting him… in the u21’s. He’d score a hatful which would help his confidence and he’d be sharper for the minutes.

If he does go anywhere in the PL can we make it Leicester, Wolves or Ipswich please?

Just three random teams I don't mind dragging themselves out of relegation trouble at the expense of another team.
Of those three, I can only see Leicester going for it, barring injuries to Wolves and Ipswich's more than adequate forwards - in which case Facu would need to return.
