The elephant in the room is the issue of whether Dunk is reaching a point where our defense doesn't operate 'like that' any more.

I felt recently the defense had a Dunk-shaped hole in it, but that was the Liverpool cup game I think....

So I am fence, but voted for the second option

I would like to give the players returning from international duty in South America/Africa/Japan a bit of a breather tbh.

Move Igor to LB and Dunk back in.

I love Dunky but (whisper it quietly) I honestly think he is starting to be found a bit lacking in the style Hurzeler wants to play.
Just my opinion of course, but we miss him less now than we would have 3 years ago

This is a big test of Fab's man management skills and his authority within the squad I feel. Perhaps a bit of a sliding doors moment.

Bring Dunk back straight away does have a bit of a one rule for some and another for others type of feel especially after the defence's recent performances.

IMO he shouldn't start and IF Igor doesn't have the best game against Bournemouth then Dunk comes back in would be my approach.

More generally Igor and JPVH appear to have developed a bit of an understanding. Also I used to feel Dunk being suspended or injured (albeit rarely) meant psychologically the opposition got a boost but now i'm not quite so sure.

Never change a winning team for me.

Does Igor deserve to be dropped? Probably not.
Dunk could be a bit rusty so i would bench him tomorrow.
This. Coming back from injury and playing 90 mins won’t help the team at all. Put him on the bench and bring him on when he’s needed.

JPvH and Igor are just developing a really good understanding. I don’t think Bournemouth away (they beaten Citeh & Arsenal at home) is the game to change things.

I think Dunk needs to be gradually reintroduced. Let his work harder and get fitter. That said, I’d probably stick him back in for Stains.
