Bournemouth - Brighton is not a derby.
Indeed. People (who aren't Brighton or Palace fans) will argue about whether or not Brighton vs Palace is really a derby. Bournemouth is about twice as far away as Croydon.

Absolute nonsense. I think even Fab, new to the area as he is, knew that was a stupid question.

But yeah, they are both on the coast so...

The questions should just be asked by the local journos such as Cantor and Owen who at least can be relied on not to say stupid things such as Bournemouth v Brighton is a derby. And perhaps will also reflect what the fans want to know.

Is it a random choice as to who asks the questions each week, or do different organisations take it in turns (e.g Sky Sports this week, The Sun next etc)?

Palace isn’t a derby either. It’s a rivalry.

Bournemouth - Brighton is not a derby.
These lazy journalists drive me up the wall. Every year we get this tosh.

Arsenal, Brentford, Chelsea, Palace, Fulham, Southampton, Tottenham & West Ham are all closer to Brighton than is Bournemouth. Ipswich is only 15 minutes longer to drive from Brighton! Yet year after year, everything on the South Coast is a derby. Does that work with the other coasts? Is Norwich v Southend a derby?

Brighton to Bournemouth is about the same distance as Newcastle to Leeds. Brighton to Dieppe via Newhaven is less miles than Brighton to Bournemouth! Just stop it.
