Any club sanctioned comms on likely cost of ticketing for this? Assume something like £5 entry for the plebs zone downstairs and £25 for the posh zone upstairs, including a drink and pie?

Friend of mines Mrs sings in a choir and they’ve been asked to perform I think December and apparently in the new venue.

I’m thinking he may have this wrong but he was adamant.

Maybe it’ll be outside the new fanzone rather than it being open properly if it is true?

Knowing how much those types of screens cost I hope the club will be recouping through advertising.

For the cost of those screens they could fit the north stand out for safe standing and probably have change.

If anyone is curious, about £50k apiece, and if I’ve read the plans correctly there’s four of them. Probably went out to tender though so assuming it’s a bit cheaper than the book price per unit

Also the only home game before Christmas is the Palace one on Sun 15 December. So if they're singing outside it will be next to a massive police cordon and a load of horses. Not fun i imagine.
It’s for Southampton I think he said - possibly Brentford.

Indeed, I’m currently working on a project which will include several bespoke screens, whilst they are very good quality products, boy do they cost a lot. The fact they’re externally durable, and bright enough to see in sunny daylight, is what ramps up the cost.

Bold doing it for Brentford if the trains are up the creek. It it is a repeat of that Boxing Day game against them a few years ago, there could be more singers there than Albion fans (official attendance 31,243. Thank you for your fantastic support)

Is your avatar Liam Dickenson carrying a drunk girl? I’m sure I remember it on the Argus. Fantastic!

Worryingly ungood look for an avatar right there
It actually turned out Liam did nothing wrong (nothing inappropriate with the drunk girl, at least!). The girl was genuinely smashed and staggering up the middle of West Street(?) I think it was, in traffic. He picked her up and carried her out of the road, someone snapped it and there you go.

Less excuse why he was out clubbing on, what was I think, the night before a game.

Still a deeply unpleasant choice of avatar tho eh

Haha.

There are '4 of them', but not at your £50k... That ad is for a screen roughly 5m x 3m

The four FanZone screens, in total are around 78m x 3m.

I sell these things as part of the equipment my company installs. We actually use the same manufacturer as the two screens inside the Amex.
the largest we installed last year, 9m x 5m, cost the customer £215k, exclusive of installation.

At that rate, if I were pricing the FanZone ones, its between £1.0m and £1.1m (though ours are higher spec than the Chinese ones the club are putting in, and I'm pretty confident they won't be including a ten year warranty like we will).
