You've got to be in it to win it..

Been twice, far too busy. Mucky weekender is now my go to festival, around 4 thousand people I can deal withGlastonbury
That’s why you set up a direct debit. Set and forget.Picking the same numbers is just madness. Whilst statistically unlikely imagine those numbers coming up the one day you didn't play them? Lucky Dip all the way avoid the heartbreak.
And can people who bang on about the odds and proudly announce they never do it just feck off! As long as you don't spend too much what's wrong with a little dream?
We do the Jools Holland thing, no hint of mud, TARDIS bogs or the uncleanBeen twice, far too busy. Mucky weekender is now my go to festival, around 4 thousand people I can deal with
Reminds me of all those holes in one on wordle when it first started. To be fair, this is a great way to tell that the person you are talking to is a total bullshitter. So it does have its uses.
This. It may well be a waste of money, it certainly isn’t a waste of time, I don’t use any. That’s why you set up a direct debit. Set and forget.
Don’t need to remember to play or to check the results.
I had 5 numbers and the bonus the week I didn't do it, about 3 years after it started, but the prize for that was only about £150. That made me realize what a waste of time and money it was and haven't done it since....
One of my numbers was my son's age when I started doing it. 5. He's 38 now
Sorry, I call BS . No way would 5 and the bonus be £150. I had 5 and it was £1100. Back then when it was 3 years old the jackpot was millions even on week 1, now it is about £1.5m the first week.I had 5 numbers and the bonus the week I didn't do it, about 3 years after it started, but the prize for that was only about £150. Yes, I always do high numbers. Plus I tend to wait for the lotto to get to the must be won stage. The euros, I wait until £100m plus, it is only occasionally won before this. I also use high numbers here.In the very early days of the lottery there were multiple winners of the jackpot one saturday night ( about 120 if I remember rightly ) They put it down to a line of popular numbers ( my arse ) They ensured that it has never been repeated.
Why? Because its rigged. The majority of the most popular drawn numbers are higher than 31. That's because most people's lucky numbers are birthdays or single digits. The percentage payout from six numbers down to five doesn't add up. Its in their interest to have an increasing large jackpot. It draws people in. They want rollovers. They don't want it won every week
It's even worse on Euromillions. A huge fiddle. The percentage discrepancies are even worse. They publish the odds on all the winning combinations. Work it out. It doesn't add up.
Yeah, this geezer (it’s probably why I still play)
This was 2006, I used to work with him in the 90s he wasn’t particularly well off but wasn’t afraid to graft often doing 6/7 day weeks. We had a few beers and a few laughs back then but lost touch and I only knew about this when I read it in the paper. We became “friends” on Facebook about 8 years ago but we have NEVER mentioned it.
EDIT: I’ve cut the top bit off, it was £8.4 MILLION!

You mean.....I missed out....on a massive win because one week I forgot to buy a ticket?Sorry, I call BS . No way would 5 and the bonus be £150. I had 5 and it was £1100. Back then when it was 3 years old the jackpot was millions even on week 1, now it is about £1.5m the first week.
Numbers schmumbers. It's the 30th Anniversary of the lottery this week!
What have I done? You mean.....I missed out....on a massive win because one week I forgot to buy a ticket?
(my recollection was the bonus ball 'counted' only if you got 6 numbers, and there were lots of people with 5 numbers that week.)
It's not normally like that but fair enough. Someone did mention there was a week that had a lot of winners. You mean.....I missed out....on a massive win because one week I forgot to buy a ticket?
