It's about a mile or so down the Whitton Road and turn left once you get the borough. I think the first time I did it was after the Harlequins Christmas match. I couldn't believe there were only about 50 on the station. Had to wait a while for a train that stopped there but well worth it. Got a seat easily and when it arrived at Twickers they were queuing out the station. I was totally baffled as to how folk hadn't gone looking for other options.
I always walk to Whitton too, so much easier, always manage to get a seat before the hordes get on at Twickenham !

Borthwick is to English rugby what Steve McLaren was to English football.

An awful coach.
Yep absolutely awful , no personality, makes me laugh when the current players were Commenting this week ,how the management have made it a feel good atmosphere in training, and was bringing the best out of the players

Yeah the rules (I know it's laws but it's a great way to wind up the rugby lot) change so much no one really knows what's going on. I can call off side and forward pass with confidence and after that Its a guess up.

That Itoje one reminded me of VAR trying to find a reason to disallow a goal. Nothing clear and obvious. By contrast the forward pass by SA early in the 2nd half was blindingly obvious which the commentators decided was close.
Itoje penalised for a neck roll but before that a high tackle by SA was ignored /missed.

Absolute shambles of a performance by England late in the game. No imagination, schoolboy errors and totally outclassed by SA. Even when we were winning it was obvious the wheels were going to come off AGAIN

Fully expecting to enjoy the France vs New Zealand game coming up much more.
Yep, Borthwick has had his chance,... 5 defeats in a row.... poor by anybody's standard

Being a Harlequins fan, and having regularly visited both Twickenham grounds, it does get pretty rowdy. Just none of the nasty stuff. Mary Whitehouse would have approved- although maybe not the drinking.

I saw England v Ireland some time back. It's a great atmosphere. And even more fun that I worked out walking the mile to Whitton station means you get straight on a train that next stops at Twickenham with all the queues going out the station. Rugby folk aren't quite so intelligent when it comes to transport arrangements.
Always do Whitton here from the west country for the 6 nations,... pints at the Nelson, pre match curry booked at the Indian over the road,.. mile and a half walk to the stadium...easy

I prefer to watch International rugby over International football generally but the underachievement by England in rugby recently is doing my head in. We 100% have the players to beat the best regularly but Borthwick seems to have sucked the potential flair out of the players. I really hope they give him his P45 and get a coach who will encourage flair and bring the best out in the talent we undoubtably have.

They won't, they will prevaricate and see if he improves things through the 6N in the new year... he won't, ... He is tactically bereft of ideas, as Johnson was before him,... a 2nd row is rarely overflowing with influences that the backs can thrive on.
