Called in the administrators.
My question surely is, how can a company making a product that everybody (well a vast majority) wants, not make a profit?
They say something about a break-in at their factory, which they cant talk about. Guess it's an ongoing legal case. But do they not have insurance for things like that?
They say the break-in caused £millions of damage.

They will of course have commercial insurance. Whether they qualify for a payout or not will be down to the claim and loss assessors. And, obviously, beyond that, if stock and / or distribution was affected then there's an immediate bottom line hit until the payout is received.

Beyond that I do think fewer people are drinking builder's tea. A lot of younger people seem to be on the skinny latees or ginger / fruit / herbal teas. The proliferation of chain coffee shops has changed our tastes. Even Mrs GB who used to be a tea drinking MACHINE is only on black coffee and peppermint tea these days.

It was Marxist's, they were complaining that proper-tea is theft.

(yes, I know it was not Marx but few have heard of Proudon)

They don't mention private equity and loading the company with debt? I must be letting my imagination run wild again.

To be brew-tally honest, youngsters these days just don’t drink the stuff - coffee is very trendy and also other cold drinks, but I don’t know any young tea drinkers
