It's grim oop north
Why not just sing the original lyrics to the song, except with his name instead of "I'm a believer", and maybe change the last line to "you're so fine" or something like that?

Sometimes I think you big burly blokes are a bit too worried about declaring your love for a footballer in song.

It's 2024, guys, nobody's judging :)

I thought love was only true in fairytales
Made for someone else, but not for me
Love was out to get me
That's the way it seemed
Disappointment haunted all my dreams

Then I saw your face
It's Carlos Baleba
Not a trace
Of doubt in my mind
I'm in love ooooooh Carlos Baleba
Carlos Baleba, you're so fine

This has to be it

Yep just do this. Much more likely to catch on, people don’t have to try as hard to remember the words.

Now it just needs playing on the sound system in the stadium.

It helped get Veltman’s song more widespread when it was played post match after a win, likewise with Bissouma/Mitoma’s song. Just do the same for I’m a believer and it’ll soon get a groundswell of support.

Love it! Can’t wait to hear it sung 50 times faster than it’s meant to be.
