If anyone is using Bluesky can you ping me a DM with your Bluesky name?
If you have more than a couple of hundred posts on NSC I'll start following you on Bluesky.

That will at least then help me build up a number of Albion fans that can share Albion related content.

Been using Mastodon for some time (and quite like it personally), but it's not really had the traction - it's more of a niche social still. Just registered for Bluesky, assuming I can find equivalent content to what I've retained my X account for on there I think it's a matter of days before my X account is nuked and I'll use Mastodon+Bluesky instead of Mastodon+X
Same here. I downloaded Bluesky this morning and had a quick look. I only follow on 'X' - for local info (local council announcements, police etc), Martin Lewis, a few journos I trust to be balanced (Sonia Sodha for example), the Albion (obviously) and Worthing FC... to name a few. I don't want any followers as I don't want to engage with random people (I can do that here). But at the moment, I've only found a few of those I follow on 'X' on Bluesky ... so it might take a little while before I ditch 'X'. I'm also being cautious as one person I searched on Bluesky did come up - but it was obvious that it was a fake account. I don't know if Bkuesky has verification for accounts like Martin Lewis etc ... as Twitter did before the Musky bloke got involved.

At least the BlueSky feed isn't clogged up with crypto get rich quick ads which is nice.
new ground you say, interesting...

there's no one there though. surprised as seeing some twitter quiting posts without those accounts appearing on Bluesky.

I think the reason I'm feeling like I've had enough is that it's hard to interact with decent Albion fans now as every Albion (or Albion related) post is immediately spammed by AI bots and plastic Big Six fans from all around the world. The club will post something like "A great view of Kaoru's goal from the weekend!" with some match footage, and within five minutes, the replies will be filled with 100 posts of utter drivel:

"Kaoru Mitoma is a skilled footballer of considerable repute whose presence elevates the status of his club Brighton & Hove Albion FC beyond the ordinary!"

"Small club"

"nobody cares bring us beleba"

"Ben White owns mitoma"

"Kaoru Mitoma is sure to win all the loyal supporters affection with his incredible displays of ball trickery. Other clubs look on with envy and consider his suitability for a transfer approach when the time is right"

"you are going down"

"small club"

'warra trophy for brighton"

"CFC own you"

"give us ferguson"

"125 years no tRoPhies hahahaha who are you noBody cares lol"

"Rice never a red and you know it Veltamn such a cheat f*** YOU BRIGHTONNNNN"

"all chelsea fans are having a party when you relegate"

"We will take Hurzzeler if we want"

until last week there was very little Albion content on Bluesky, but this past few days I have started to see much more, Ryan Adsett, Albion Obsessed, along with Talkfootball, The Other14 plus many more fan accounts. It seems to be gaining momentum but still has someway to go.
Its nice to to not have adverts all the time, and I like all the "feeds" that you can select rather than just the "following" and "for you" on twitter
There seems to be much less of the "negative replies just for the sake of it" as per post #127 by @Lady Whistledown

There's WAY too much punctuation and nowhere near enough spelling errors for those to be real quotes

Are you a bot?
The left flouncing out wont make any difference, you don't have the numbers. Middle ground wont follow and neither will a lot of the left so some fraction of 20%.

The battle for free speech is over effectively , podcasts had way more traction at this US election. The left have captured the dying media, the only hope for some publications like the LA times which just sacked its entire editorial board.

The modern iteration of the left is in its death throws for half a dozen reasons with the above being one.

Absolutely clueless as ever. It is to get away from this endless drivel, not about winning. Winning is for football you complete tool.

If you are getting endless drivel then that just reflects who you are following numbnuts. Its more about losing than winning, losers are fleeing the platform for their echo chambers where they dont get their ideas challenged.

deleted the app earlier this week. Still access on a laptop for a fix. Have found myself going to check it on the phone, but then realising i dont have it. Most twitter searches were bollocks anyway and it has become unusable. It will be much harder if and when i am not at an albion game and want to check in on what is happening or searching for a stream.

I haven't delelted for political reasons, but because since musk has taken over it has been flooded with odd stuff that i was not interested in - plus i was increasingly addicted to looking at my phone around my kids and it really wasn't a good look. This is one fewer thing to look at / check.

This is what a bot would say.

i think you are wrong, its not about not being challenged-nothing wrong with a different opinion, thats healthy and it could be argued the whole reason for forums. Its about the endless bots, the constant stream of ads, the negativity, not because its a counter argument, but just to be contrary and generate clicks, (see @Lady Whistledown post above)

Bluesky (for example) isnt an echo chamber, more a safehaven (for now) from mindless bots, simpletons, and far right extremists. Whishing to avoid that isnt fleeing-its just being sensible
