How on earth has our most exciting player not got a great song??

Surely from the day we signed him the "I'm a believer" song was ready made for our song maestros to conjure up something special for this talent we have?

Please can we get something going for him....!

Let’s be honest, the quality of songs we have for players has been dogshit for a while now.

90% of the new ones are just the players name said over and over again to the same handful of tunes.

Sadly it's a feature of the modern ( younger breed) of fan who traditionally would be constructing chants/songs.... ie. zero imagination.

I don’t think it’s a lack of imagination.

It’s more of a fear of someone starting a new song and people not joining in. Especially when the words aren’t easy to follow.

I’m a believer should be a given for Baleba, but there’s so many potential variations of the lyrics and it’s a tune that I imagine has never been sung at a football match before. You’d need someone very loud or a group of people coordinated to get it travelling.

I honestly believe the best thing the club could do to help with getting these player songs going is by playing the original versions of the song on speakers in the concourse of the North Stand pre/post match until it feeds it’s way into the in-match singing. I’m sure it wouldn’t take long.
