He's shit. He should be playing in the Spanish third tier with someone like Ibiza one of those pubs teams from Gibraltar. It would not shock me if he's our generations Frank Abagnale Jr from that film Catch Me If You Can where he gets away with pretending to be different professions.

He had sensational moments with us, great saves, excellent distribution. Perhaps the atmosphere and attitude where he is isn’t conducive to nurturing a young player, oh well, he can console home self with his millions of pounds a year salary.

Although I did hear that he was the least popular player amongst the non footballing staff at the training ground, considered quite arrogant and surley

He’s certainly talented, as shown by the form he had under Potter. He was decent in the 22-23 season as well, but that season for him has been defined by dropping that clanger at Palace.
Maybe we’d have finished even higher with a better keeper in goal. Like Jason Steele.

One thing’s for sure, he’s not in Bart’s league.

With a northerly wind, and your ear horn, you'd get first hand waffle from the works car park!

WTF is global goalkeeping? To say he's been Sanchezs coach for the last xx years and yet he keeps making those howlers, it doesn't say much about his coaching abilities tbh.
I have heard tell that at Brighton, Roberts was the ONLY gk coach that Sanchez listened to. Maybe chelsea have someone else now that can do that?

Roberts went out on an arm and a limb to recommend samchez to chelsea. Most chelsea fans will say it was a mistake to do so. But apparently sanchez was put through the ringer before being signed about his attitude in the last months at brighton and seemed to say it was nasty bigger boys who made him like that and he would never do it again

They've got 10 keepers haven't they? A lot to keep track of. They'll find a decent one soon in sure

I have followed Rob Sanchez career ever since he moved down here to play for Forest Green Rovers. I then continued to follow his development, at Rochdale, watching TV highlights and reading post match comments, in newspaper reports, and on the fans forum.

Although I thought that some aspects to his game were excellent, where were also traits, i) rashness/judgment, ii) concentration, that were clearly a concern. The rashness was associated with the number of penalties conceded with Bob diving at forwards feet both at FGR and Rochdale. There were also concentration issues, the worst example being a back pass by a Forest Green player from the halfway line, albeit at pace, that Bob managed to let roll under his foot and into the goal.

I read an article by Richie Mills who interviewed Pat Mountain, the FGR goalkeeping coach, when Bob had just been selected for the Spanish squad. I thought it was a fair assessment of his capability and issues.

I still think that the subsequent coaching at Brighton, and Chelsea, has still not eliminated the original judgement and concentration issues from his game.
