West is BEST
Was it you, or did anyone see the 'person' that picked up my newly bought SEAGULLS calendar yesterday, (Man City game), which was against the wall, beside the bin at the bottom of the stairs to N1B, and made the decision not to hand it in to lost property?
Just to let you know, you have robbed a poor OAP. It took me weeks to save up for that calendar, and you think that it's OK to just walk out the stadium with it. I doubt if I will be able to save the money for a new one before the New Year.
Just do the right thing, and hand it in. Or put it back where you found it at the next home game.
If you don't, all I can say is that I hope it catches fire and burns your house (or cave) to the ground.
With you in it!
Ya thievin' gobshite!
So precious to you that you left it by a bin.

🤣

Apologies. I hope you get it back and if not I will buy you one. Genuine offer. Happy to get you a replacement.

Only by a bin because that's where I was stood, having my pre-match refreshments. I probably should have put it on the shelf, but I didn't want to get mustard/ketchup/Harvey's all over the bag.
Thank you very much for your kind offer, but I can afford to buy another one. I was just hamming-it-up to shame the opportunist. It will teach me a lesson, and hopefully give my short term memory the kick up the arse it obviously needs!👍

You couldn't have picked a better poster to 'ham' it up with either - @The Clamp

Taking the positives Glasgow fan: your 2024 calendar was 90% reduced in the club shop sale (was tempted to buy one meself) and only had six or seven more weeks to run anyways

So cancel the gofundme?

Anyone who has already donated I won’t waste the money, I will spend it on beers and whores.

is it more or at least as likely that after the game had started the cleaning staff were doing a "sweep" of the concourse and just cleared it and binned it along with all the empty cups, plastic glasses and general rubbish?

Does anybody else think there's a reasonable chance the OP went back to the wrong bin, and the calendar's still sat there now exactly where they left it? :lolol:

You have no idea how often people report their cars stolen having forgotten where they parked them.

Normally they put stuff in lost property if they can identify it as not rubbish

Nope. I went down 10-15 minutes before half time when I realised it wasn't on the seat behind me (the effects of the two pints of Harvey's and the two cans I had on the train must have been wearing off).
Spoke to cleaning supervisor who was with a few of his crew included the one that cleaned that area, and none of them had seen it. Went to 'lost property' round the West stand, and they told me it wasn't there either.🤔

As I said, total pain mate. But someone quite innocently could have come along and thought - "a discarded calendar - nice!". And they
wouldn't be classed as a thief would they?
There is such an offence as "Theft by finding" which I'm sure @Lady Whistledown will confirm.
