Thinking logically, you're probably right, but if the results went that way it'd all be about being in 3rd, even if it's only for half an hour, and potentially 4th for the international break.

I don't care. I want to be above Newcastle at the end of the season.

Can anyone explain why Forest spent £30 million on Elliott Anderson?
Because by inflating the fees of him and the goalie they sold the other way, it helped their accounts for PSR.

Sales are counted in full but purchases spread across the contract. So higher fees were in both Newcastle and Forest's interests.

Reality is because both transfers were overpays, they cancel each other out in practical terms. But not in the PSR books.
