[Albion] Will Dunk struggle to get back in the starting 11?…

I had a "Dunk has to go straight back in" reply all written out and I deleted it and wrote this instead because I just don't know anymore. Dunk's leadership is invaluable, and many of our best attacking moves over the last couple of seasons have started with a pass from Dunk. But JPVH and Igor are starting to look like a pairing that better suits Hürzeler's game.
JPVH was pinging very Dunk like balls out to the left wing. That bit of his game has really improved.

I said a number of times earlier this season that I personally had noticed a slowing from Dunk, his age seemed to have caught up with him a bit and he was getting caught out on the turn more times than we have seen during his tenure to-date.... just a view.... he has a squad role to play of course, but I don't see him getting a regular starting role.
A wise old bird from Swindon mentioned that to me recently about Dunk.
Dunk isn't stupid to think he can walk straight back into the first eleven.
He'll have to be patient like Igor has and haven't we benefited from that.
As I also think Dunk will have to wait his turn, I also think Solly will have to be patient.

No chance he starts for us next season though.

More importantly how does march Ferdi minteh and dunk get into the squad looking at the bench?!

Well ferdi should be starting so it's really tough now.

As it stands moder is out for sure and enciso will be looking over his shoulder. Im not quite sure andingra is up to it either. We also need to fit Gomez in somehow as well. What a problem to have. Enjoy the squad as it will almost certainly be weaker in numbers next season as we will have to offload a few.

For me, Dunk hasn’t been the same player this season so Igor absolutely should keep the shirt until there is a need to change things.

I personally think the line up we finished with last night is our absolute strongest possible team that is capable of beating anyone. Only possible change would be Ferdi for Gruda. Adingra certainly isn’t the answer sadly and fully justified getting hauled off for his first half performance. Shame we have an international break now to kill any momentum.

These are a good squad.

We need Dunk's leadership.

But the fact you're asking the question shows how silly it was to say Igor wasn't good enough and that we should have bought a centre back.

Dunk's age may play a factor, a little rotation and selected fixtures for him as well as resting Van Hecken means Igor will play his part in plenty of matches

This is what I was thinking, but seeing you write it makes me wonder if perhaps I'm wrong 🤔
Even a broken clock is correct twice a day.

(I must admit I can't see the dials on this particular clock as I..... you can guess the rest.)
