I saw them in Newcastle in April and enjoyed it. My only gripe is that, because he cannot sing and play at the same time, he didn't play that much as the set was entirely JD songs. I will go and see them again when they are playing more NO songs as he will play a lot more then.
I will not go and see New Order as they are not New Order without Hooky imo.

I thought he handled that well by the other bassist (his son?) covering the bass play when he sang. Magical night.

Agree, though it would appear with a covering bassist recently as his son Jack Bates is currently touring South America with Smashing Pumpkins.
No detriment to last night though.
