Well I can't stop laughing at this rubbish. The multi pack of Lacoste polos in every imaginable colour is a scream, let alone the rest of this junk!
Times have clearly changed at the Beeb, when I went on Pointless with my lad in 2015, they made me take my Lacoste jumper off 😂

As for the prog, have watched the first two, I’m not sure it is Junk, his Mum was murdered and as a recall as a kid, and later mentioned in various documentaries, the victim was almost a side issue, it was about Lucan and his mates whisking him away after he did it, he’s only trying to get his own personal closure and some kind of justice for his Mum.

Obviously the Beeb will have paid exes, but I doubt, and hope they haven’t made money out of it.

Maybe Episode 3 will tell us everything we need to know?

We know a quite clever person (not with us any more sadly) who was a forensic scientist way back and was given Lord Lucan's diary
to try and work out where he might have gone. Clearly, it didn't contain much info.

My bet is that if it was the nanny that killed the parasite, this case would have been solved instantly.

There was a nice news report shot of 1970s Newhaven taken from the A259 at the riverside with the Crown and New Bridge Inn/C&E Sports in the background. We had it paused for ages remembering a time when traffic went through the town and you could catch the bus from outside Unwins, instead of around the back of Woolworths, which isn't even Woolworths anymore. Oh the waft of buns from Acres the Bakers and buying Action Transfer Sets from Minimart! Now, what did I come in here for again?
C&E, Acres the Bakers, Minimart….takes me back to my childhood.

Indeed. That's why I quoted their lyrics. Always associate them with Nicky and The Dots. Think I must have seen them play together, possibly at the Richmond. So many gigs in those days it's all a bit of a blur!

Yep. The Vaultage albums were all released on Attrix Records and featured local bands.

The first one, Vaultage 78, contained tracks by (amongst others) The Piranhas, Nicky and the Dots, Peter and the Test Tube Babies, and The Dodgems, and was probably the best of the 3 Vaultage albums.

Vaultage 79 contained a track by The Vandells, one of whose members was Marcus Vandell, aka Marcus Thirtle, the brother of a mate of mine at Stringer, Greg Thirtle.

Attrix was located on Sydney Street, and you could often find some of the band members (Bob Grover, etc) helping out in there.

Apologies, I skipped a few pages so I must have missed it. I remember Nicky and The Dots, amongst other things, they had a rather iconic button badge.

I remember the shop. It always seemed rather sparse and had little in the window. Good shop though. I think I bought my copy of Coloured Vinyl/Jilly from there.

Edit: the photo in the above link shows a very full window though. Maybe my memory isn’t good.
