Having spent some of my working career in Holland, I am still traumatised by their strange toilets. This randomly came up on a facebook feed today and took me back 25 years. I never experienced a “bag slapper” and am glad I never did

We had signs like this in the toilets at Sheffield university in the early 90s after a spate of broken bowls. The signs were only in English.

Japanese toilets are in another automated world.
