Imagine if they removed the travel area and everyone had to buy train tickets and southern kept the barriers closed at Falmer and everyone had to scan in/out - that would be awful

You can't delay repay because the service is so shit and infrequent that only 3 coached turn up every 15 mins

One thing that is definitely delayed is the results of this review. I think it was first announced in Spring last year, the FAB were consulted at a special meeting devoted to it in October 2023 and then, afaik, - nothing.
Anyone that would think the cost of the scheme hasn't risen must be living in cloud cuckoo land.
