One of those comedians who never quite broke through.

I saw him years ago doing a routine about snagging whilst wearing crocs.

I wasn't aware of him before I heard him on the Beckett/Widicombe podcast and thought ht was really good. Sounded like he very much has broken through over the last year or two and is now gigging in much larger venues.
He looks aggressive. I don’t like aggressive comedians.
I certainly got the impression on the above podcast that his persona is very different to his look.

Just got back. He did that Racist Grandad sketch but it wasn't the best of his material. Very funny, challenging lots of stereotypes and did include a couple of Crocs jokes. Instagram has been good to him.

His act basically surrounds his persona looking different and makes him quite niche.

He reminds in a way of EARLY The Pub Landlord. Audiences were very confused back then with him. The only way that character became mainstream was when he got an ITV show.

You then get most the audience laughing at the "offence" without getting the irony.

I'd completely forgotten about Jeff Normal, I saw him a few times. I might check him out if he plays locally.

One observation is that 20 years ago he looked exactly the same !

Living near Banana Cabaret I used to go the comedy all the time, but got bored of it. Mainly seeing a comedian who'd seen a few weeks before doing the same act.

I'm glad this has been posted because it reminds me of highly eclectic nights there. Around the time I saw him there was this female comedian who used to do a very very dark act about pulling numbered anal beads out of her husbands back end with a national lottery commentary.

Glad he's getting noticed because his act was very much a highlight.
