You're aware that Musk-funded Future Coalition Pac ran the reverse adverts first?

By that I mean they ran pro-Israel Harris "ads" in Palestinian areas and pro-Palestinian ads in Jewish areas.

You can even still see the ads in Google ad center - https://adstransparency.google.com/advertiser/AR00108120441557614593?region=US&topic=political

So, I wonder why Harris felt the need to do the opposite?

Article here...

"Musk-funded ads tell voters Kamala Harris is pro-Israel — and anti-Israel

Future Coalition Pac portrays Democratic candidate in contradictory ways as Donald Trump seeks Muslim and Jewish votes in Michigan and Pennsylvania

Elon Musk is funding a campaign targeting Jewish and Arab voters in battleground states with contradictory advertisements about Kamala Harris’s position on Israel.
Over recent days social media ads claiming that the Democrat is a staunch supporter of Israel have flooded accounts in parts of Michigan with a high Arab population. At the same time, Jewish communities in the swing state of Pennsylvania have received ads alleging that “two-faced Kamala Harris stands with Palestine, not our ally Israel”.
The digital campaign is the work of the Future Coalition Pac, which is covertly financed by Musk. The world’s richest man has ploughed tens of millions of dollars into an all-out blitz to tip the election in favour of Donald Trump."

...I expect there are plenty of similar.

Great explanation about why the American system is like it is . Do you have any idea why we in the UK have a voting system where the Government that is elected bears so little resemblance to the actual votes cast ???

Because each constituency votes for their MP, not the Government.

The implication of your post is double standards.

But are you justified?

Sure, they were different messages. But they weren't mutually exclusive. They were just aimed at differing audiences.
You have to expect that in America. It is hugely diverse, and political campaign speeches are going to be well-researched and targeted at the make-up of each audience.

Why are you expecting any different? Why does it come as a surprise to you?

I've had US CNN on for the last 4 or 5 hours and learned absolutely nothing.

First exit polls due at 10pm our time, so waiting for those before I start to decide my night/sleep strategy.

Fox are a bit more bold with calling things early even if it's for the other side. So you may get more joy there.

Has Trump declared himself the winner and that any other result is fraud yet?

Ours isn't a perfect system but it is better than the US where a President can be elected and have no power if his/her party don't have control of one of the houses, eg the senate or congress!

Ditto. Can't imagine the exit poll is going to predict a winner at 5pm local east coast.

Shirley just some eastern states if anything?

Watching that clock take forever to click down and struggling to hold it together reminds me of the last 10 minutes of our 1-0 WC2002 win v Argentina!
