Your individual buying history tells the club that you are not just buying for Liverpool away each year....
But if the tiers goes right down to members then someone with no history has the same right as someone with history. I do not agree that another level of membership should be brought in i.e. members with history, members without. It starts to get a bit daft otherwise.

NSC would be an unrepresentative subset of the total Albion fanbase, perhaps 90% of people here one club Albion fanatics. Club obsessives. With much angst about anyone sitting near them in the Amex or away who might like another club.

The wider reality of people sitting in the 28k home supporters at Amex games differs I think. We sit near groups of folk who might be about 60 years old, also 25 year olds, who miss swathes of games stuck in the concourse, the younger ones chat all game about anything other than the Albion, half watching the game. Mentioned by many people in this type of thread, a lot of us know Sussex born n bred folk who in the 1990's as adults switched to Arsenal as their club for life, I know quite a few, some are Amex STH'ers, others are members who visit once a season when their club visit and sit in the home stands.

With our proximity to the London clubs as well as the huge fanbase for ManU/LFC passed through families, I can't see the Amex anytime soon comprising solely 28k Albion fanatics.

A lot of this was damage from the fallow/skint years 1983 to 2011.
The only part of your post with which I disagree is your last sentence. The years 1983 to 2011 were by no means fallow. Full of memorable Albion experiences, but those that appreciate them are perhaps not the types attracted to the club in the PL. I know we digress a little from the home fans in away end discussion, but not entirely. It simply wouldn’t have happened 1983 to 2011 when the Albion support was very different. The PL is for experience junkies as much as it is one club football fans.

I didn't mean the trophy cabinet, some magical seasons, Dick Knight & co were often alchemists.

I meant in turns of the wider fanbase in the county. 1976 to 1983 it was huge, at school the Albion were adored by swathes of teachers and kids. Beam forward to 2005, in local parks with our kids all you saw were Chavski and Manure shirts on the children of others, and a lot of parents too.

The thing is seeing there was two kids with her I was really polite i

Seeing That there was 2 kids with her I was actually really polite with the request what came out of her mouth actually took me aback made the last 15/20 mins very uncomfortable
I can imagine. I’d really hate that and it’s simply not right. You should be able to attend a match without having someone in your face.

Everyone I know who followed the Albion between 1983 and 2011 still go to the matches and I know a lot of people who were occasional fans back then who now have season tickets. So I don't understand your comment about "the types attracted to the club in the PL". Obviously we have attracted a lot more locals in the last 10 years since we offered decent facilities and a decent standard of football, but most current season ticket holders took them up when we were in The Championship. I don't like this snobbery you get from some Albion fans who sneer at anyone who didn't go to Gillingham...

Me neither, after all they were lucky, I hated it the times I did go, I should have gone more, but sometimes I just could not bothered, it was utter utter shite.

The numbers are straightforward. There are a lot more fans these days so in addition to the people you know we now also have people attracted by success. It’s inevitable. A much smaller home and away support watching lower league football made for a very different atmosphere to the one we see today. I watch a lot of non league football and the types of people at those games are very different to my experience of the modern Albion. That isn’t snobbery. I’m not making any judgement. I’m not that bothered. It’s just a possible explanation for the emboldenment of people to support other clubs in our away end, take photos, carry signs etc etc ie the baggage of PL football.

Equally, if you did, I dislike the way it’s sometimes used the other way by those that chose not to (probably because they were too busy turning their coats to Chelsea, Arsenal and Man U on Sky). Just saying. You know, for balance :)

I once sat in the away end at Upton Park we won 1-0 and it was horrific I’m so glad West Ham didn’t score as I’m sure we would have been sussed.
Luckily Zamora played like he had never kicked a football before 🤣

Perhaps in some sort of context, my coffin manufacturer took me to Palace away last December, at late notice the only tickets he could get were corporate, we were in one of the box/lounges behind the goal, right next to the away end, there were 24 people in there and we were pre warned it would be a mixture of supporters.

Of the 24:
4 were Palace fans, 4 of us and the rest (16) were foreign tourists, American, Canadian, Korean, some of whom, in conversation, revealed they'd actually paid more than us via third party ticket agencies.

It’s a truly global game, and Albion, Palace et al, will sell tickets to whoever is prepared to pay the money, regardless of who they support.
Was he also responsible for building the Arthur Waite?

Was in the away end but I travelled to that game with some West Ham supporting colleagues...was absolutely painful listening to their entitled whinging all the way back to Oxford...

I would say 'dozens'. Plural. Wearing hats, scarves, bags, a few kids wearing shirts.
Unless in away end, utterly unacceptable. Hopefully a busy afternoon for stewards and a few little Liams removed, their no doubt outraged pricks of parents taught a lesson in tribal football rather than entitled gentrification!! :)

I've sat in the home ends at Southampton & palace. & am able to contain my excitement & disappointment adequately. If anyone can do that, then they shouldn't be vilified for it. It doesn't help the atmosphere- but nor does the east stand
