We all choose our own methods of playing though and there are no hard and fast rules I guess.

I know what you mean, and a week ago I thought the same. It was a 6 on a match day which made me think this isn’t a level playing fieldSorry but that is tantamount to cheating for me, but many seem to do it

It’s not!
My scores have been absolutely appalling for a while now but it’s just a daily bit of fun for me, I don’t mind being down the bottom of tables enough to reference past answers.

I am not sure it is cheating exactly, more finding a way to cut out obvious mistakes.Sorry but that is tantamount to cheating for me, but many seem to do it

It's a bit like a football player doing a bit of research on your opponents and knowing that you don't let Salah cut in on his left foot.

I didn’t even know there was a ‘list’ of past wordle answers so not all of us use it.
I would probably be bottom of the table too if I competed with you lot but then I often forget to even play

That was a good test I thought and happy to settle for a 4
On the subject of checking previous answers I previously subscribed to the view of ‘not for me Clive’ but did wonder why was relatively unsuccessful compared to many and eventually succumbed.
My view now is that it’s actually MORE enjoyable a challenge because you are able to avoid going for something that has already been used - this is particularly helpful when you get in those scenarios when there are many, many variations with just one letter missing.
Wordle can still be extremely frustrating as we all know - even you Bakero
- and I still had two recent fails, but I do think it reduces the frustration.
