......because trumps tenure last time was so chilling !! It was definitely a lot more chilled on the war front. I don't care either way who wins but I do laugh at the constant fear mongering that the world will fall apart if trump gets in.
Clueless. The trade tariffs hit US businesses extremely hard , in tech caused supply chain issues of up to 52 weeks+ for a lot of components

Yer its nonsense. It's discussed further back in this thread but military experts have already predicted trump wants an end to the war. Also why did Putin wait until trump was out of office to invade Ukraine !!
Because Putin had to play nice due to the unexpected Covid-19 and the need to play it safe not burning western vaccine bridges ? ???

In a possible scenario Putin could have invaded and then be told he had to withdraw or no vaccine. He would have been uncertain whether Russian/Chinese vaccines would have done the job.

Lets hope its not Trump. Lost a bit of interest in American politics during Obama stint. Here I considered a good man but even he was under there system unable to get what wanted through. At least here especially with a decent majority government are able to get what they want through and cant blame anybody else if voted out after 5 years

Brighton factually.....
Tonight's result could be the end of the word defining (y)

Trump wins, and he will turn America into a dictatorship, Israel, Russia, China and North Korea will be pushing on with their plans for mass murder and expansion.

Switch the lights off.

End the war by getting ukraine to concede.

The main reasons why putin waited until 22 (other than having a thing about numbers - Georgia invaded 8th aug 08 and Ukraine 22 2 22) were that the crimea bridge which is critical to supply for war wasn't completed until Dec 2019. Nervousness that invading in 20 would impact a trump victory in Nov 20, covid and needing access to vaccines.

Also it's believed that many who were preparing for war in Russia were doing well out of the preparations so pressure was put on keeping preparing just a bit longer

He will let Putin win.

Result: Putin will sense weakness, re-arm, disrupt Ukraine's trade and push further west.

Forgive me, but isn't this obvious?

Farage will certainly feel empowered if the fash wins, but here I hope many will realise populist nonsense is immensely damaging, cue Brexit, Johnson etc...

I'd be more concerned about the likes of France and Germany than the UK in the near term

And god help the friggin climate, its shocking that the direction of liberal democracy rests in the hands of so few.

The invasion was in 2022. He didn't 'wait until Trump was out of office.' Things escalated in the years after Trump's presidency because Ukraine was pressing NATO to speed up processing it's application for membership and peace talks in the Dunbas had broken down. Not everything's about who is president of America despite what they'd like to believe.

The protectionist tariffs that he is threatening to impose on US imports could really affect British businesses. This could impact growth, jobs and prices in the UK.

Pulling out of NATO and withdrawing support for Ukraine could be catastrophic (I work with a very worried Ukrainian who sees the result of the US electionnas existential).

Longer term, Trump does not believe in climate change. The US should be leading the world on this. He’ll surely pull them out of various commitments and treaties again pushing back serious action against climate change another 4 years at least.

But in all honestly as has been posted on this thread, Trump has run for President to look after No.1. If elected he’ll quash all the ongoing cases against him and will surely spend most of the time on the golf course. The question then is, who will he bring in to actually run the country?

what exactly is it you fear Putin will do with Trump in office that he hasn't done so far; why does Trump enable him?
Trump could stop sending weapons to Ukraine, Putin could consolidate the land he has and prepare to take the rest. China could take that as an invitation to take Taiwan. That's the start.

Funny that he came to power by convincing people who pay no attention to political reality that there was a shadowy cabal of elites seeking to use any method to hang on to their power in opposition to the will of the majority, and is now being used by a shadowy cabal of elites seeking to... Oh you finish it.

Kamala continuing to drift with bookies !!

Joe Rogan has endorsed trump.

And atlasintel poll who got most right in 2020 has trump way ahead.

Interesting swing back to trump in last 24 hours.
Bookies odds tell nothing other than where money is being placed. Can and are being manipulated.

Joe Rogan endorsing isn't surprising, his millions of mainly testosterone filled male bros would likely be more pro Trump anyway, will it have much significance 24 hours pre election?

The Atlas Intel bollocks shows you don't know much about that poll or company beyond the republican narrative headline you read.

They called the popular vote for Biden by within 1% in 2020. And for that are being called by republicans the "Gold standard". They have little history in calling states. They're Brazillian and since 2020 have got 2 south American elections wrong by over double digits, one was 15 points out.

If I say Harris will win popular vote by 2% and its 1%, am I the gold standard for all states at next election?

Nobody knows with any certainty which way this falls.
