Accept Brentford sat on their lead, low blocked and paid a similar price to going gung-ho for a 2 goal advantage.Brentford and Hove Albion
Well done to @BrightonCottagerFor the rich nsc’ers with Sky Sports, did they spend over an hour drooling over Thomas Frank and how cute Brentford were?
Thank you. Very hoarse and lucky I started deep breathing on 90 minutes in anticipation of a loss. The substitutions made such a difference and it was so pleasing that it was a couple of our old Championship side who helped make the difference.Well done to @BrightonCottager

As far as I could see yes. But we had dominated so much that there was a realistic chance of getting something. Also, getting a train isn't so much of an issue.Unlike the Amex, was the Cottage completely full at the equaliser?

Part of what you say is true - it looked like we had run out of ideas to get past 2 ranks of 5 plus the keeper. I said to the bloke next to me it was like watching Parkerball. The subs made the difference - in his post-match interview, Wilson said that he'd been told to get behind the defence - where he normally doesn't play and that disrupted things. He meant to get a heel and head on both the crosses so I'll give him the credit. Traore also made a difference- no defence likes being run at them, even if he managed to out-trick himself a couple of times.Weird sort of game. I get that Fulham dominated possession, but for all that, I really didn't think they looked particularly good. It was like watching early Potter era Albion: keep the ball, pass it endlessly around the box and shoot on sight rather than actually creating any good opportunities.
Brentford are pretty limited and defend deep, which means you need a bit of brains and skill to unpick the lock. For 91 minutes, Fulham had no idea how to do that, and then they got lucky with a mishit finish and a winning goal that came off the bloke's shoulder. I'm not saying they didn't deserve the points, but they were hardly as brilliant as a couple of the Sky pundits seemed to be implying.
