Extraordinary set though. Robert Smith had the time of his life, that really shone through.Just the one....shame
They appear to be on BBC2 tonight, pretty much all night!
At the BBC is usually TOTP and Whistle Test if you are lucky. There are several more programs on later which would be better I reckon.Fck it, just tuned in as the hour’s The Cure at the BBC is ending, would’ve recorded it so better than iPlayer.
Gig starts in 5 minutes!
They weren't shit, they were great tunes from a band that have constantly evolved, if you want to listen to a band that stand still pay £300 to watch OasisWhy Robert, why?? The Walk and Let's go to Bed are the biggest load of shite ever. Play A Hundred Years instead.
Robert Smith became a pensioner this year, turning 65 in April...! f***ing unbelievable that he's still doing it, so well too!I think Robert is 62 or 64 anyway inhis 60s and paying for 3 hours just a collective 5 min break. Increadible talent.
No thanks, can't stand Oasis and I am well aware that the Cure evolved. They have written some excellent poppy tunes (In Between Days, Just Like Heaven, The Perfect Girl, Lovesong) but they also produced 2 unique, darkly beautiful albums in Faith and Pornography, so to play bibble like The Walk instead of The Drowning Man, All Cats are Grey, Faith, The Figurehead, One Hundred Years, Cold etc annoys me.They weren't shit, they were great tunes from a band that have constantly evolved, if you want to listen to a band that stand still pay £300 to watch Oasis
How’s your Max Bygraves collection coming onI know I am old and was brought up listening to the Beatles, Floyd, Zep and the Who and I appreciate peoples music taste, but I saw the Cure on Glastonbury tv a few years back and I can honestly say that was one of the worst bands I have ever seen. So boring, but maybe an age thing as can’t stand Oasis either. Now back to listening to a bit of David Gilmour.
But surely Burwash is in KentLives in Burwash near Roger Daltrey.
Wonderful thanks. ‘ I wanna tell you a story’How’s your Max Bygraves collection coming on
