A lot of people say "you shouldn't bother looking at the table until we've played 10 games" or similar sentiment.
We're now 10 games in. What do you think?

Not so sure. We could easily be top 3/4 with some missed opportunities to win games, especially at home. Forest drew with us. They won at Anfield. They deserve to be there. We are doing pretty well considering the change of manager, huge influx of new players and many new behind the scenes staff. The major outlier is Notts Forest who surely won't sustain their position. I think we are well placed for European qualification.
Yeah but have you seen how they play? Not so sure. We could easily be top 3/4 with some missed opportunities to win games, especially at home. Forest drew with us. They won at Anfield. They deserve to be there.
This. All good.We are doing pretty well considering the change of manager, huge influx of new players and many new behind the scenes staff. The major outlier is Notts Forest who surely won't sustain their position. I think we are well placed for European qualification.
True, but on the other hand we probably sneaked 3 points at St James' Park - we were very ropey in the first half. You could also point to a 2nd Man Utd goal chalked off for a crazy off-side, and getting slightly lucky at the Emirates with the Rice sending off. That's probably at least 6 points we could easily not have had.It feels like we've left a fair few points on the table, meaning that errrr, they're not on the table.
In a parallel universe, we're sitting pretty in third on 20 or 22 points.
This. The fact we’ve chalked off Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle & Chelsea aways is significant. We picked up 4 points but it should have been at least one point more. A point per game overall at those grounds is actually very good. We don’t have to go again and most of our rivals for 6-10 do.Considering our first 10 have included Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Newcastle & Liverpool, only two of which were at home, I think we’ve done very well to be where we are.
I’m not sure you’re aware how this works so let me explain…True, but on the other hand we probably sneaked 3 points at St James' Park - we were very ropey in the first half. Exactly. All fans are very one-eyed when looking at results and always focus on 'the ones that got away'. Yes we should have beaten Wolves and Ipswich, but on the other side of the coin we got the rub of the green against Man U and Newcastle. So we could be 3rd - but we could also be 12th or even 15th.Every team can say they've lost of few or sneaked a few points, so all things considered, where we are RN is decent.
They look pretty good as do Bournemouth(not just after yesterday). Both are fast and direct and a pretty good watchYeah but have you seen how they play?
Easyish start to the season and fully fit squad. Don't see them staying where they are. Maybe top 10 though.Fair play to Forest.
Yes Bmuff are a very good side, and have recruited well, they may also have one of the best managers in the league. I thought they had overtaken us on the field last season and I was laughed at by many on here. After our spending spree in the summer I think we've edged past them again. But will be interesting to see who finishes above who. They look pretty good as do Bournemouth(not just after yesterday). Both are fast and direct and a pretty good watch
