I always have to watch something spooky on 31st and going to a mate's at weekend for a horror film night with his gf.

Tonight I'm having an interval half way through Burnt Offerings (1976) with Ollie Reed and the gorgeous, slightly cross eyed making her more sexy, Karen Black. Typical slow 7Os flick, eerie and The Shining like. Enjoying it so far.

Love watching horror films with a girlfriend or, if not, with mates. On my own though.....I am easily spooked.

Currently on a Walking Dead rewatch, up to second episode of Season Three, now going to watch the original Halloween.

Might go and see this at the cinema in the next few days. Those are pretty phenomenal IMDB and critic scores for a horror movie, which usually average around 50% and 5.0 on IMDB. (Because they’re mostly cheap, badly acted shite).

Was hoping to see this on a free Odeon ticket but they've closed the bloody Odeon, damnation.

Just finished Host on iPlayer. Had watched it before, my missus not happy with my choice and was terrified.

Only 55 minutes long, zoom horror set and filmed in 2020 during lockdown. Very good

Just sick and gory (which I find boring ) or genuinely tense/frightening?
Sick and gory, but with a great lead character in Art the Clown, who knocks Michael Myers, Freddie Kruger and Jason Voerhees off the stage. Its too silly to be frightening, and doesn't really take itself very seriously. You'll be laughing at most of it, the sheer scale of the depravity and creativity of the gore has to be seen to be believed.

Look, its not The Omen, and its not trying to be. Definitely not for everyone, but it amused me for a couple of hours. A proper old-school slasher, dialled up to the max.
