Only to Sompting.

I think they’re tiresome across the entire great county.

Felbridge, Sompting to Hampshire, A272 …. avoid like the plague.
East Sussex has 8.2 miles of Dual carriageway in the whole county. The A21 is the most dangerous road statically in the country. They spent money on cats eyes and a few signs (amount to an eye watering £47m apparently) yet they haven't improved the road at all or the safety. In fact since the works ceased 7 people have been killed on that stretch of road.

Most of the cats eyes have unstuck and people have collected them up and sent them to the highways.

The highly respected and impossible to please IFS might like it?

Knowing them, criticisms might be doubting the growth forecasts, criticising the eventual personal allowances uplifts, should’ve raised more tax.
I think that will be a very easy critcism to make, time will tell if its fair...

Not knowing your neck of the woods too well, would that be decades of nimbies stopping stuff.

I know stuff like a proper Hastings bypass will likely never happen.

No the land was purchased etc then scrapped and sold back off. The Hastings bypass is a joke.

As a small business owner, I thought this would be more painful but it actually feels pretty reasonable, if the benefits really come to pass.

I suspect all the pre-budget noise was about creating a sense of relief when it was actually delivered.

I do think that Reeves is very credible
The last few weeks as I suspected have been all about expectation management. Most of the rumours came to not much

Credit to Rishi, he's coming out swinging.

A joke though the Tories couldn't get their leadership race sorted in time to have the new leader doing this rebuttal.

Rishi as animated as I've ever seen him. Jeremy Hunt's eyes look like they're about to pop.

Seems like a politically safe budget - raising NI employer contributions is the heavy hitter - small businesses likely to complain and the right no doubt will try and get some mileage by arguing that this will impede growth.

Good news for poorer members of society with the triple lock and rise in the minimum wage.

The OBR released its report today saying that the Conservatives ‘misled’ the OBR on spending which will give Labour some political cover for hikes in Capital gains and freezes on personal allowances.

Now I’m off to plan my summer holiday which will be paid for with all the pennies I’m going to save on a pint of beer.

She didn’t go after the 3.6m business people who receive dividends.

Armchair lefties had spent a few weeks licking their lips that SME’s would be attacked with much greater taxes.

Imho Reeves acknowledging that they employ 60% of workers, make up over half of the private sector.

Rishi very feisty. He seems to be taking the '14 wasted years' narrative very personally.

The thing is Rishi, the country has spoken and - like Erik Ten Hag - you are yesterday's man and no one gives a f*ck what you think or are saying.
