Yep ... this is my route back from Anfield to Lime Street station. 37 minutes at a pace of around 15'30'/mile - assuming you've got a clear run.

The weather isn't supposed to be bad so whilst it's not the prettiest route to walk this isn't a bad shout.

Stinking weather at Goodison last season and we got the Merseyrail to and from Kirkdale. Despite what looked like insane queues to get into the station after the game, we found out that they were just all waiting to grab a ticket from the office, and having purchased a cheap return earlier, just walked onto the platform and were back in Liverpool with enough time to spare before our train back to London to go and grab a drink. Worth doing imo.

Agreed, it's certainly not pretty. I found this to be the quickest and simplest route when I saw Taylor Swift at Anfield earlier this year and needed to get back to Lime Street after the gig to catch last train to West Kirby where my Airbnb was (y)

This is exactly what me and my daughter did last Saturday. I was frankly shocked at how easy it was to get the train. We were back at Lime Street 40 minutes after the final whistle.

Always seem to appear yes. Just got to be on it and refresh regular 👍
When tickets come up last minute, are they available to anyone right down to purchase history do you know please?, or only down to the tier at which it sold out?

Word of warning. Went to this fixture at Easter. Both Mrs Pliny and another lady in our party refused entry with thin A4 or less handbags, that get into the Amex all day long with no problem.
Red jacket steward would have none of it, despite our protests.
The official bag drop is way away from the away end. So we were directed to a nearby dodgy boozer where they take it upstairs for a fee.
Like a 1960s eastern European border crossing getting into this fixture.
Fingers crossed for 3 points and a good time.

Always worth checking as not all grounds will have same rules as Amex.

Anyone else on the 17.43 out of Lime Street? Trying to work out if it’s best to just walk very quickly straight after the game or a cab/bus. Anyone shed any light on how those shuttle buses operate post-match?
I normally get bus. Good service, but leaving after final whistle 1743 is very tight.

Thanks very much for pointing this out just been out and purchased an A5 size one. Does beg the question why do Liverpool FC have to be different to all other Premier League clubs that accept A4 size bags.
