The counter argument to that is Forest away, 11 months ago, when Dunk let himself and his team down by getting himself needlessly sent-off and van Hecke put in an inspired performance in his absence to ensure we secured the three points (not that I am suggesting we are better off without Dunk, of course).
Agree - but you’re as good as your last game….

He apparently has it in him, just didn’t show it on Saturday

Some very complacent attitudes on display here. Dunk is a massive miss, however anyone tries to downplay it.

If Dunk were there at the end on Saturday, we 100% win that game. We are never, ever as solid, or as organised without him. Any time he’s missing, we always look like we are 5 minutes away from a panic.
The old Dunk maybe but not the Dunk of the last year.

Personally think it's not as big a loss as it would have been a couple of years ago, I'm happy with Van Hecke and Igor at the back. Not as big a loss as Joao Pedro is or if we were to lose Welbeck, Baleba or Verbruggen for a while.

The problem will come if one of Van Hecke or Igor get injured whilst Webster is still out.
Think we needed a couple of wise heads out there against Wolves with Dunk, Welbeck and even Webster we would have probably been more measured in our exuberance.

I presume that TB's hints about wanting us to win a trophy means that we field a strongish team on Wednesday, risking further injury to our stretched defensive resources. I assume Veltman/Wieffer/Pervis would be backup central defenders if anything happens to JPvH or Igor rather than Ed Turns or Freddie Simmonds?

Ah the demise of Dunk.

I hope he takes some of these posts and pins them to his own dressing room door. We’ve a bit more to see of Lewis before he hangs up his boots.

Yes indeed.

(shite header in their box though.....)
Why didn’t he jump? Weird one. Also his body language was telling, practically the second he headed it he was turning and running back. He lacked confidence to attack it properly.
