Not entirely unexpected given recent run of results.

Frank seems like a possibility or even Amorim but not Potter - can’t see him wanting to go North of the Watford Gap. Manure fans would not be keen either based on his Chelsea performance.

Mind you if they win the next 2 or 3 games, RvN could be a shoe in to stay on in the role couldn’t he - already has top
flight management with Eindhoven…

It was obvious he should have gone after the Cup Final but sentiment got the better of the Board.

However, there is no room for sentiment at the top level of English football. They are now in a bad place, 12 points below Citeh and have been leapfrogged by Chelsea and Villa for 4th spot.

There are also a shitload of expensive contracts to be paid up with mediocre players on huge wages.

Good luck with that.

Tell you what........that Var decision yesterday has done United a massive favour. Ten Hag gone and someone will turn them around! Frank from Brentford?
That VAR decision was outrageous, but as it was Man U who cares? And as you say it has actually done them a massive favour.

Maresca seems to be doing ok.
With a team that finished 6th last season and finished the season flying under Poch (who initially struggled as much as Potter did ,took him ages to get going and had a lot more time to sort out the mess).

And let's not forget that the new England manager struggled for ages before he got sacked and that's the team that Potter inherited.

The levels people will go on here to get stuck in to Potter is ridiculous.

Would expect nothing less from you though, I see you've already moved onto Fabian as your next target.

My thoughts exactly! It was just a matter of time till they sacked him, virtually a week by week depending on each result. They should have won comfortably yesterday but for poor finishing and that VAR decision. They have cup match which they should win, then Chelsea which will be tricky then a run of games against bottom 6 that, are games they should win. New man gets chelsea out the way and he will have them flying up table I suspect.

Neither here nor there
I was listening to some of the 606 calls yesterday and found myself thinking: why does anyone expect Man Utd to be doing much better than they are this season?

Yes, massive club and all that. But look at the current squad. Severely lacking in proven talent and exciting prospects. Why would they be anything other than a mid-table team this year, when other clubs have got so many brilliant players to call upon?

Whoever takes over will have exactly the same problem. And like their predecessors, they'll be weighed down by unrealistic expectations, and the spectre of the Ferguson years.
