Baleba was amazing, so strong on the ball and in the tackle, it’s a shame he tired and went off. Ferguson‘s goal would have done his confidence no harm at all, great to see. Igor did well considering he wouldn’t have expected to start until 5 minutes before kick off. I thought Georginio played really well too, fast, direct and clever use of the ball. Ayari looks the part, he’s been a great and unexpected addition to the first team this year.

Really until the last 10 minutes it was a pretty decent performance, I enjoyed the game but left feeling disappointed in not winning. The lads will learn from that.

One teeny-weeny positive from yesterday is that bet365 would 'of' paid out on an Albion win when we went two goals up

Ayari looks like a new signing and a very good one too. I have man love for the whistling smiley beast Baleba.

I would have taken a draw at Newcastle and a win yesterday before these two fixtures were played. Results were different but the points total the same.

Glass still more than half full. Roll on Wednesday

£40m for Georginio is not the best value for money signing we’ve ever got (see Groß or Caicedo).

But his value has clearly increased as he is ‘doing it’ in the Premier League now. He has quite a unique style in a lot of stuff he does and it’s surprisingly effective. I thought he was magnificent yesterday. This is a very hard team to get a regular starting spot in and even with the return of Pedro, March and O’Riley, I think Georginio starts, he is that good.

I finished work at 1630 in Lewes yesterday, got down to the train station for a 7-carriage Seaford train that must have departed Falmer at 1640, the majority of those onboard a busy train having come from the match.

Given the implications of what is being insinuated there, I'd say having his bedroom inadequacies discussed would be the least of his concerns.

Positives:
Baleba and Georginio, were immense
Igor looks very good now.
Evan is back.

As above 7 points from.Spurs, Saudi and Wolves is very good. Whatever order the points came in.

Seemed to me that we had a plan to counter the early bus parking, and were getting plenty of balls into the box rather than passing in circles until we lost it. Which was nice.

In general it was a great team performance let down by a bit of immaturity (as admitted by the manager at the end).

We are high in the table and still have the potential to get much better.

Dunno I was debating whether it had been better if id missed the last 2 goals. I had a head rush going so mental at the wieffer 'pass' and had to sit down for a bit

In the cold light of day having given this due consideration and thought everything through.

We were beating the shittest team in the league (at the time) 2-0 with 2 minutes to go and we ended up drawing with them.

Their first goal, hey ho, we’d taken our foot off the gas. Second goal, 4 on 1, followed by a hopeful long ball up the middle, calamity after calamity, FFS.

Nope, no positives for me, £194M blue and white bottle jobs.

I think we look really decent. That was an unlucky defeat.

I was also impressed with the manager in the post match interview. The word that popped into my head was askance.

My positive is from looking at all the replies above, and seeing so many different players named as being good, that all (cough, cough) our players played well. I’d have hated to have called out our player of the match. While I was crawling up the aisle afterwards, dripping tears onto the tiers, I think I heard Welbeck’s name. But it could have been half a dozen others. I’d have picked Ferdi.

Imagine this squad with a competent manager. Some of those subs yesterday made no sense and weakened us why go top heavy with attackers when 2-0 up on 85 minutes.
I hope he’s not giving players game time for the sake of it.

Bold statement or not but in my humble opinion Baleba,is right now the very best player iv'e ever seen in 52 years that iv'e been a Brighton and Hove Albion supporter,his potential is off the scale,he has nowhere near reached his peak ,to me he's comfortably our best player,now comes the hard part,keeping hold of him.

Quite a big exodus from the East , as usual, after Ferguson made it 2.
When people leave early during mid-week games, at least it's understandable. Work and school the next day, and the transport always seems to be worse, sometimes much worse for mid-week matches. Much harder to understand for a 3pm Saturday afternoon game like yesterday. Terrible look on MOTD.
