I think he'll come good. He's got a ball winning tenacity.

It was a big mistake from him today not to put the game to bed, but you can't blame him for it. Misplaced passes happen all the time.

We didn't need four players committed, they're just as responsible for the goal. Igor should have closed the player down, rather than letting him take the shot.

Lots of players responsible for that horrible goal, let's not make Wieffer the scapegoat.
I’m sorry, but if you can’t blame a player for that error then you can never really blame a player. It was horrendous.

It’s part of a mistake that cost 2 points. Experienced heads may have realised we are deep in stoppage time and winning and taken the ball towards the corner (to the groans of the stadium) and taken a corner or a throw in and killed the game off. The pass didn’t have to be played.
To many also over committed to the overload as well. Maybe not enough premier league experience on the pitch to consider if we misplace that pass we are going to be countered.
Manager spoke about momentum before the game and how you can be punished when you lose it. Today we lost the control for 10 minutes and it cost us.
Game management is what it is about. There a young bunch and it’s about learning from it

Give the guy a break. He made a mistake, shit happens.

I have every confidence he will bounce back and become a vital member of our squad going forward.

Part of being a supporter is supporting the players and the team through good times and bad times.

He’s the worst player to have donned the shirt in the prem era. Worse than Locadia by miles.
Reactionary. He had an injury to begin with, and had a poor game today. If it doesn’t work out then so be it, but we have such a small sample size.

Here we go… scapegoat city. Give the guy a chance. Today wasn’t good, but it’s early days. One bad kick of the ball doesn’t make a bad player. Let’s see how he responds to this and move forward from there.
It’s not just one bad passez he’s been our worst player in ever game he’s played so far. Would have been better playing with 10.

There’s a difference between recognising a catastrophic error and writing a player off.

Today was a catastrophic error which unfortunately for him has been preceded by average at best performances.

He’s got a lot to do to prove himself.

I think it is fair to both believe he has every chance of coming good eventually, and highlight that that was a truly awful piece of play

You can blame a player without hurling abuse at them, though.

Yes, he made a mistake - a huge one. But it happens. We - and he - will move on.
