Come on mate, cut him some slack. Almost all young players go through inconsistent spells where they struggle for form.
Ferguson’s recent bad spell has been extended by a long-term injury, which kept him out for most of last season. Some people are talking like he was actually in the team and out of form for that whole period.
The attributes are clearly there, he just needs confidence and the right environment, like any young player.

Whilst I wouldn't disagree with the gist of your post, it simply isn't true that he missed "most of last season". He did miss the final 9 Premier League matches of the season, for sure, but he had an involvement [either starting or as a playing sub] in 36 of the 41 competitive matches prior to that.
As he's so young it would be good to get him a championship loan. Unfortunately most of the younguns these days think they're too good once theyve banged in a few goals. I think we should be very very patient though and keep him happy , we don't want another gykores. I would give him until the end of next season.

Scuttlebutt is he played with pain killing injections due to an ankle injury, along with glandular fever. He didn’t look himself after he returned

Not true at all. He has a good attitude and a sensible family behind him. He is young, prob peaked too early but we will protect him. If he needs to go out on loan, so be it.
That hasn't stopped Haaland being one of the absolute top players. Didn't stop Shearer, Lineker, Owen or Rush either.
I think you need to watch Haaland in detail if you think he is just a finisher
Not convinced about that. Without his goals I doubt he'd even be in the team.

Fair enough, maybe I’m misremembering the number of games he actually missed. But I think I’m right in saying he was unwell and picked up some injuries during that time, which generally hampered his form and progress.
Regardless, young players often dip at some stage after bursting into the scene, and need time and patience to improve.
Did any of those players have a 12 month goal drought ?
It surprised me for the goal he wasn’t busting a gut to get in the box, was a bit odd
This good attitude is the one that allows him to stroll around the pitch while others around Welbz and Rutter are busting a gut. Sorry he currently doesn't have the right attitude on the pitch.

A couple of noticeable Evan moments yesterday. For the goal, he's 20 yards behind Welbeck and Rutter. The second was Ayari's outside of the foot ball into the bix. It is a tap in on another day if he's just 2 yards further forward.
On a number of occasions he's just too deep and isn't attacking the ball (I'm thinking of that cracking header Leicester away) as much as he was. Confidence I guess.
